SERVICES - Andrea Quanchi Independent Midwife, Maternal & Child Health Nurse Rates Andrea charges an hourly rate for all visits. *There will be an added cost for travel if women reside outside of Echuca/Moama. During pregnancy women may choose to meet with Andrea in Echuca to reduce this cost. Payment can be made by internet banking, cash or cheque, All appointments to be paid as attended. Labour, birth and postnatal care will be invoiced a week after birth and payment can be negotiated with Andrea utilising your baby bonus or private health insurance. Most private midwives charge a set fee, however, over the years I have found that women prefer the hourly rate because they are paying for what they get. You will have an average of 10 antenatal visits. The cost of your birth will depend on how long you are in labour and how long you want Andrea there for. This is the unknown quantity for you and Andrea but I have had no complaints to date as I come when you call me and stay as long after the baby is born as you need me to be there. In the first days following birth I will visit as often as you need until you are settled and your baby has established breast feeding. After the first week I will continue to visit with women who choose me as their maternal & child health nurse. Many women keep in touch for years, visiting or sending photos and emails about their family activities. I enjoy watching your families grow up.
